What's a build?

Builds (also known as frankenbottles) are Owala FreeSip water bottles that independent makers (like me!) create with parts from several different colorways. My builds typically feature parts from 4-6 bottles and are styled with functional accessories. These bottles are not available from Owala or any retailers.

What's an "encore" build?

An encore is a repeat of an in-demand, sold-out build. Sometimes they're identical to the bottle that came before, sometimes they're a different size or feature slightly different components.

Why do your builds cost more than retail FreeSips?

Because they’re very expensive to make. Generally speaking, each of my builds is made with parts from 4–6 different Owala FreeSip bottles, plus at least one functional accessory. On average, I spend $130–$190 (or more) on each bottle's parts alone — before factoring in packaging, shipping, selling fees, or the time, care, and skill that goes into each build.

That said, I always price my listed builds below what they cost to make. I choose to absorb some of the upfront expense so I can offer gorgeous, thoughtfully curated drinkware without the steep price tag of custom work or DIY builds.

I want a build that’s sold out. Can you make another one for me?

Maybe! It depends on part availability and your budget. Recreating a past design is a type of custom build; check out “Do you make custom builds?” for more details.

I also sometimes offer "encores," which are demand-driven recreations of sold-out builds. Follow me on Facebook or Instagram to stay in the loop on those!

Do you make custom builds?

I do! Just a heads-up: custom FreeSip builds are the most spendy option. They usually involve $130–190+ in part bottles, plus labor, accessories, packaging, shipping, and selling fees. If that fits your budget, reach out and we’ll see what’s possible.

If that’s out of your budget, consider checking out Wishmaker. It’s a fun, no-pressure way to have a chance to see your dream build come to life for my regular listing prices. (No promises, but sometimes wishes do come true.)

Can you repair my broken FreeSip lid?

Probably! If all the pieces are still intact and it just needs reassembly, I can almost definitely help. If something’s actually broken or missing, we’ll need to talk through the details. Reach out and we’ll take it from there.

Do you ship internationally?

Not at this time.
